Tihbat is a mancala game played in the Taurirt area, Morocco. All the information comes from Lalo Kinast who got it from Moroccan children living in Flix, Catalonia. It is a game played by children, both boys and girls.

Tihbat is played in a board made of two rows of two holes. At the beginning there are 7 pieces on each hole.

Initial Position

Each player owns the two holes of the row next to him.

On his turn, a player takes all the pieces of a hole on his side of the board, and distribute them anticlockwise, one per hole, into the following holes, starting with the hole from which the counters were taken.

If the last piece falls into a hole on the player's side, and the contents of this hole become an even number of pieces not greater than 8 (i.e. 2, 4, 6 or 8), these counters are captured.

The winner is the player who captured most seeds.
