Zanzibar Musical Club[]

Interesting documentary about traditional taarab music, but the film doesn't show Bao, just dominoes.Mr Mancala 15:32, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

Unknown title and year (probably 1930s or early 1940s)[]

"In Northern Liberia, in Gbanga, Spannaus (1263) of the Museum for Ethnology, Leipzig, has worked on the almost ritual athletic games of the Gbandi, and in his film a prominent place was given to wrestling; other games, such as tumbling — incidentally often played for gain, and the famous Mancala , the national game of the Africans, were also investigated and filmed while being played by young and old men." Identified: "Jungen- und Männerspiele [The boys and men play.] Filmed by Paul Germann in 1928-1929. Produced by G. Spannaus. Göttingen: Institut für den Wissenschaftlichen Film, 1936. No. C 28. 3 minutes. Description: The Bandi of northern Liberia."Mr Mancala 16:06, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

Squidwood (SpongeBob)[]

The transcript given by Spongepedia is nonsense. SpongeBob doesn't say: "How about Duck, Duck, Hermit Krab? Hopscotch? Squidward Says? Steal The Bacon? Sleeping Sea Lions? Sharks & Minnows? Mancala? Sink The Submarine? Darts? Kings & Queens? Mohjongg?" This can easily be proven by listening to this episode in slow motion.

but: "How about Duck, Duck, Hermit Krab? Hopscotch? Squidward Says? Steal The Bacon? Sleeping Sea Lions? Sharks & Minnows? Sink The Submarine? Kings & Queens? Mohjongg?" (no mancala and no darts!!!)

-- as correctly given by the SpongeBob SquarePants Wiki. Most annoying Spongepedia doesn't permit the editing of its faulty article, you cannot even add anything to its discussion page because it's "protected".--Mr Mancala 20:35, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

Unknown doku on German TV[]

Short excerpt with a game of "Bao" cut in the rocks.--Mr Mancala 17:17, May 24, 2012 (UTC)

The "Zuschauerservice" of TV network SAT.1 was unable to identify the documentary, although it was shown by them. The YouTube user who uploaded the video didn't reply. --Mr Mancala 07:56, June 11, 2012 (UTC)
