Mancala tournaments in Germany → German.
Hawalis tournament in Niederzissen, May 2008
Mancala is not yet a popular mindsport in Germany and so far only a few mancala tournaments have been held. Kalah, Oware and Toguz Kumalak were played most, but there was also one multi-game tournament featuring Hawalis and Imbelece too. Several tournaments (planned in Westhofen (2009), Bad Neuenahr (2009), Königswinter (2010), Reutlingen (2011), Düsseldorf (2011 & 2012)) couldn't be realized because of lack of interest.
In addition, Brettspielnetz and Brettspieltwelt organize internet tournaments with mostly German participants. Five universities (Bayreuth, Dresden, Erlangen, Marburg, Oldenburg) have also held Kalah tournaments for testing the programmes of their Computer Science students.
The only international tournament players from Germany are Jurij Nold and Ralf Gering
