Jurij Nold at the German Championship 2012
Jurij Andreevich Nold (1950- ) is a German Toguz Kumalak player, teacher and referee. He learned the game in 1989 in Kazakhstan (at that time: Soviet Union). Since 1994 he lives in Schweinfurt (Germany), where he worked as a chipping mechanic until he retired in December 2011.
Jurij is a co-founder and coach of the football club Fortuna 96 Schweinfurt. Besides football his hobby is cabinetmaking. He has built a fantastic sauna for his family and also makes beautiful Toguz Kumalak board.
Jurij is married and has got three children. One of his daughters is Irina Nold, now living in Frankfurt, a famous Toguz Kumalak master. She won the first Women's Championship of Kazakhstan in 1992.
