Meta-games have a special "meta-rule", while all the other rules remain unchanged. This meta-rule can usually be applied to a large number of games. Often meta-rules are added to give the game a new twist or to make it more challenging. Some of these rules were specifically designed for mancala games, others are also known from many more board games.
